With over 100 acres of gardens to explore, Harewood House is one of England’s 18th century Treasure Houses and is the perfect place to create lasting family memories. Running throughout the summer holidays, you are invited to join our new play experiences.
This summer, let your children’s imaginations run wild with our new pop-up loose parts play installation. Return again and again to see what new stories and games they can imagine with the loose play elements on each visit.

PLAYSCAPE + ROPE MAZE

Visit our brand new Playscape throughout the summer and see just where your imagination takes you! Run around and explore as you make your way through our rope maze.
The Playscape is recommended for ages 5+ and play is at your own risk. It is an adventurous space where children can challenge themselves and experiment in their play, so please supervise your children, whatever their age, making sure they are playing within their abilities and being considerate of other families.
MINI ROVERS + LAWN GAMES

Let your little ones take the wheel with our brand-new Mini Rovers. Enjoy Little Landys on our Play Terrace located just outside the Courtyard. Tickets can be purchased on the day from our Visitor Information Centre and why not have a go on one of our fun-filled lawn games while you wait? Perfect for ages 5-10, under 4’s can join siblings as a passenger.
SUMMER SCAVENGER HUNT

Explore the grounds of Harewood with our Summer Scavenger Hunt and see how many different natural objects and wildlife you can spot.
HOLIDAY CLUB
Back by popular demand, ensure your youngsters have a blast this half term with our Holiday Club. Drop them off for a full day of adventure at Harewood.
COLOURING CART

Make your way to the Courtyard to find our Colouring Cart. We have plenty of activity sheets and colouring to keep the family entertained whilst you are down in the Courtyard.
TREE TODDLERS

Brand new for summer 2024, Tree Toddlers is designed for curious pre-schoolers aged 3-5. Our sessions are a delightful blend of fun & learning set amidst the beauty of the Harewood woodland. Every session is brimming with a wide array of activities & experiences that aim to ignite the young explorers’ curiosity. Children are encouraged to roam freely, discovering & engaging with activities that pique their interests.

MAKE IT HAREWOOD

Join us for a series of weekends dedicated to making, music and merriment, with demonstrations, workshops, BBQ, pop-up bar and a live DJ set.

Wild Rumpus deepen nature connectedness through a programme of projects including festivals, large-scale events, creative interventions, meaningful partnerships and sector development work. They work internationally from their exploratory creation space in an English Woodland.
They create experiences which inspire curiosity, create environments where people feel free to play together; and design events that immerse audiences in incredible stories, gathering them for moments of collective wonder.
