Visitors travelling to Harewood by bus can show a valid bus ticket – paper or mobile – on arrival and get 50% off the price of general entry. Please note that this offer can’t be pre-booked, or used in conjunction with any other offer.

£2 Admission Ticket

Harewood is delighted to announce from Friday 19th January, a brand new low-cost admission ticket is being introduced for people in receipt and proof of the following: Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA), Child Tax Credits (CTC), Working Tax Credits (WTC), Income Support, or hold Refugee Status. Special Event Days
Harewood runs several special event days throughout the year where ticketing and prices may be different from usual entry. Please check What’s On before your visit, and buy your ticket in advance. On Arrival

We run a volunteer-led complimentary shuttle service for those requiring mobility assistance.

Our Shuttle can take you from the main entrance to Visitor Reception, House, Courtyard, Lakeside and All Saints Church.

By bus

There is an excellent bus service from Leeds and Harrogate. Find out how to get here by train, bus, bike and foot at Good Journey.

Bus routes:

No 36 to Harewood from Leeds and Harrogate runs every 15 minutes during the day Monday to Saturday, and every 30 minutes during the day on Sunday. For more details please call Harrogate and District on 01423 566061 or click here to visit their website – harrogatebus.co.uk

No 923 runs daily (except Sunday) and operates from Otley to Tadcaster via Wetherby. For more details please call Metro on 0113 245 7676. Alternatively, you can visit the Traveline Website for impartial information on planning your journey by bus, coach, train, or any combination of the three.

By train

Our nearest rail stations are Leeds and Harrogate. Taxis and bus connections are available.

The village of Harewood is centrally placed in Yorkshire at the junction of the A61/A659 on the Leeds/Harrogate road.

Harewood has ample free parking. We are situated:

7 miles from Leeds and Harrogate on the A61
5 miles from Wetherby and the A1
22 miles from York
9 miles from Leeds/Bradford airport
8 miles from the M1

You may wish to use a route planner – our postcode is LS17 9LG, although Sat Nav users are recommended to try LS17 9LQ as this will bring you straight to the main Archway entrance to Harewood off the A61.

Emmerdale Village Tour 

If you have a booking for the Emmerdale Village Tour then parking is located in our main car park at Harewood House.  Please have your Emmerdale Village Tour tickets ready for checking and then you’ll be directed to a designated parking area to pick up the bus to the Emmerdale experience.  Please note, that any visitors not going on the tour will be asked to pay a standard admission for access to Harewood House, Gardens and Grounds.
