Saturday 5 October 2024
10am – 1pm
In this three hour beginners’ workshop, you will explore watercolour techniques to create beautiful botanical paintings that celebrate the arrival of Autumn.
You will learn to mix, layer and blend colour, embracing the fluid medium of watercolour before experimenting by mixing your own colour chart. Throughout the workshop you will observe live demonstrations and follow illustrated process sheets, exploring a variety of brushes and strokes to create different shaped leaves and petals. You’ll take home a series of botanical paintings and illustrated handouts to practice your skills at home.
Kate’s work is defined by delicate watercolours where she takes inspiration from the flora and fauna of the natural world. She offers both semi-custom and bespoke wedding stationary as well as a collection of cards and art prints.
A 14 day cancellation policy applies to all workshops. As commercial workshops support our charitable activities, and materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than two weeks before the workshop date should you wish to cancel your place.
Should Harewood House Trust need to cancel a workshop, your ticket will be refunded in full.
