Saturday 28 October – Sunday 5 November 2023
This October half term, join us for a bewitching adventure of Folklore and Fairytales as you explore the woodland around Harewood House.
Follow the sculpture trail and discover how to spot a witch, show off your best werewolf howl and find out more about how giants shaped the Yorkshire Landscape.
Then meet Robin Goodfellow, the fairy that inspired Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Full of mischief and mirth and a very bad example to children!
A perfect outdoor adventure that will blow away the halloween cobwebs.
Our house won’t be open this half term as we prepare for Harewood’s Time Travelling Christmas but be quick and you can book our fun-filled Potion Making Workshop and unlock your inner sorcerer, using ingredients grown right here at Harewood House’s Walled Garden.
Plus, in our Enchanted Woodland Workshop you’ll find out more about the legend of ‘Stingy Jack’ while creating your very own painted pumpkin log, spider webs and broomsticks!.
And if it’s raining don’t despair. Drop in to the Bake House for Folklore inspired crafts.
The Folklore and Fairies trail and crafts activities at the Bakehouse are FREE with membership or an admission ticket. You can book admission or pre-book the Potion Making or Enchanted Woodland Workshop online in advance to guarantee your place.
