This chair was designed by Thomas Chippendale for the Entrance Hall.
Chippendale incorporated decorative motifs used by Robert Adam in the Hall in the design of this chair, such as Greek key patterns, roundels and swags.
As is tradition with hall chairs, the Lascelles family crest – a muzzled bear – decorates the frame.
This chair is part of a set of eight.
