This chair was made by Thomas Chippendale Junior for the White Drawing Room (now Cinnamon Drawing Room).

It is characteristic of Chippendale Junior’s work, demonstrating a particularly refined neo-classical style. The chair is rectilinear in shape, possessing a square seat and back, straight arms and legs, as well as modest floral carving along the top rail.

This chair is part of a set of fourteen and two sofas.
