Join us at Harewood House for a gentle, nature fuel morning designed especially for our youngest explorers.

Tree Toddlers is an outdoor play-based session for children under 5 & their grownups, offering space to discover, create & connect with the natural world.  This summer, our session take on a seasonal twist, celebrating sunshine, sensory play & the magic of the woodland in full bloom.

Set within the beautiful surroundings of the Sylvascope woodland, families are invited to follow their curiosity through a series of relaxed, play-based activities.  There’s no rush & no set path, just time to explore together.

Little adventurers can head out on a mini-beast bug hunt, searching beneath leaves & logs for signs of summer wildlife, before observing their discoveries up close.  Creative hands can get busy in our nature art area, using leaves, petals & natural materials to make colourful prints & collages inspired by the season.

Our woodland potion kitchen invites children to mix, pour & experiment, combining water, herbs & flowers to create their own ‘sunshine potions’, full of summer scents.  For those who love to move, the woodland becomes a space for climbing, balancing & imaginative play, with natural materials & playful challenges to spark confidence and curiosity.

Throughout the session, there’s time for free exploration, allowing children to engage with the environment in their own way building resilience, creativity & a sense of wonder through play.

Tree Toddlers is all about slowing down, getting a little messy & enjoying the simple pleasures of being outdoors together.
