Join the Collections Care team for a unique opportunity to help clean the outdoor statues on the Terrace. This hands-on activity gives younger visitors the chance to learn how we care for historic sculptures and preserve them for future generations.
Head over to the have-a-go station near the fountains, where you can roll up your sleeves and take part in some gentle scrubbing using brushes and water. Under the guidance of the team, you’ll discover the careful techniques used to remove dirt and grime while protecting the stonework.
It’s a fun and interactive experience for kids, offering a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the important work of conservation. Whether you’d like to try your hand for a few minutes or simply watch and learn, it’s a great way to get involved during your visit.
