Planning ahead: seasonal closures and disruptions
As an independent educational charity, we’re committed to the conservation of the Grade I listed House, its historic gardens, and the stunning grounds that surround them. As an accredited museum, we also protect an internationally significant collection of art, furniture, and interior design, ensuring its legacy for future generations.
To support this essential work, the House must close at certain points during the year, allowing our team to carry out vital conservation and maintenance tasks. These closures are a crucial part of preserving Harewood’s historical and cultural treasures, ensuring they remain vibrant and accessible for years to come.

Collections
Objects on display
We host a variety of exhibitions throughout the year, which means some objects are not on display. If your primary interest is exploring the Collection, you may want to plan your visit carefully or consider rescheduling during certain exhibition periods.
