We offer schools and colleges exclusive discounts on general admission, all tickets allow full access to House, Grounds and Gardens, and Adventure Playground. All prices can be found on the relevant learning page.
Due to our varied programme, our opening and closing times can vary throughout the year. Please see our Timing Guide for more detailed information.
Lunches: Home-brought food can be enjoyed in the picnic areas or outdoor seating widely available. Groups who have booked facilitated workshops have a reserved lunch space built into their booking, unless communicated otherwise.
For a small fee, self-guided groups are able to book a lunch/storage space in advance but this is dependent on availability.
We request that all school groups adhere to the adult to pupil ratio as outlined below:
Pupil age | Adult : Pupil ratio |
EYFS | 1:4 |
KS1 & 2 | 1:6 |
KS3 & 4 | 1:10 |
KS5 & HE | 1:15 |
Our on-site facilities include coach parking, toilets, various refreshment and catering options, a Second Hand Bookshop and Courtyard Shop.
If you have booked a facilitated visit you will automatically have access to an indoor lunch space. Self-guided school groups can pre-book an indoor lunch space for a fee of £25, this is subject to availability. If you do not wish to pre-book a lunch space, Harewood has plenty of outdoor space and picnic tables located within the grounds.
We welcome pupils with additional needs. Workshops, Talks and Tours can be tailored to suit your requirements. The public areas of the House including Below Stairs and most of the site facilities are wheelchair accessible. Please contact us to discuss any particular educational needs, and for more detailed information about access, please head to our Access page.
Did you know that you can pre-book iced lollies for your pupils? Take advantage of a discounted school rate too. All lollies must be pre-booked a minimum of 7 days in advance of your visit to qualify for the reduced rate. Contact the team for details and to book.
