Autumn at Harewood for Schools and Colleges

Harewood is a place of activity and lifelong learning, created by generations of architects, artists, designers, collectors, gardeners, and the people who have lived and worked here. It is a place for inspiration. We aim to promote the understanding and enjoyment of Harewood as a place of historic and contemporary interest.

Enjoy all the seasons at Harewood on a self-guided visit or take part in our outdoor learning sessions in the Gardens and Bird Garden. From den-building to plant hunting, to our ‘wild wood’ session exploring the changes autumn brings, our outdoor sessions embrace nature in this wonderful setting.

In the house itself, there is plenty to discover ‘Below Stairs’ and in the grandeur of the State Floor. We have sessions extending to all areas of our site, covering a wide range of topics across the curriculum.

We also have special workshops to accompany our autumn exhibition programme, Seeds of Hope and Seed to Table.

Most sessions are adaptable for all Key Stages and we are also happy to develop a bespoke session for your group, if possible.

For further information to plan your visit you can contact Kathryn Welford, Learning Manager on kathryn.w@harewood.org / 0113 218 1093
