Christmas at Harewood for Schools and Colleges

It’s Christmas Eve 1929 and two little boys are looking forward to the morning ahead. Whilst they sleep their dreams start to come to life …Welcome to a magical Christmas at Harewood.

SCHOOL SESSIONS AT CHRISTMAS 25 NOVEMBER TO 21 DECEMBER 2018
Let imaginations sparkle!
Our led sessions will take pupils back in time to 1920s Harewood, through the house and into the winter wonderland of grounds and gardens.

Little Christmas Sparkles

For Early Years and Key Stage 1
Led by an artist and Early Years practitioner, this session is for little people with big imaginations! We’ll be exploring Harewood through storytelling, movement, discovery and play. Immersing ourselves in the stories of a Harewood Christmas, children will ice gingerbread biscuits, explore winter spices in our outdoor kitchen and hoard nuts for hibernation on our winter walk. All followed by Christmas stories and hot chocolate in our magical winter snug.
Half-day sessions (max 15 pupils) * £8 per pupil. Includes full-day access to the Harewood site.

Christmas Dreams & Winter Wanders

For Key Stage 1 and 2
This full day of festive activity includes an imaginative tour of Harewood House, revealing the stories and dreams of a Christmas past, followed by two creative sessions of your choice.

Groups can choose from:
– planning a roaring twenties party and learning some dance steps!
– making a Christmas craft inspired by 1920s Harewood
– exploring our winter wonderland, collecting natural objects to make our own bird feeder

Pupils can enjoy a hot chocolate before taking their festive creations back to school.
Full-day session (max 30 pupils) * £9.50 per pupil
