Community Access Membership applications have now closed for 2025. We will reopen applications in Spring 2026. If you have any questions in the meantime please email us.
Eligibility criteria for CAM
Organisations must be of charitable intent and registered with the Charities Commission. Your organisation must be as listed below. These will be classed as Charity Community Access Memberships.
- A registered charity
- A community interest company (CIC)
- A community benefit society
- A voluntary community group
We welcome applications from other organisations and businesses registered with the Care Quality Commission (for example, residential care homes) These will be classed as Business Community Access Memberships.

Full details are listed in the attachment below but here is a short summary of key points are listed below and are subject to change with 30 days notice.
- Entrance is free with a CAM membership during opening hours (usually 10am – 5.30pm 7 days a week, but check website before arrival)
- For groups of 12 to 50 visitors, please get in touch with the Visitor Experience team at least 2 weeks in advance of your visit. This ensures we have capacity for you to make the most of your visit.
- CAM memberships do not entitle you to free entry to ticketed events, such as DogFest, or paid-for and bookable workshops/experiences.
Community Access Membership Terms and Conditions
Each organisation will be asked to read and agree to these before joining us as a Community Access Member.
