We’re looking for Visitor Experience Tour Guides to join our Visitor Experience Team this summer to lead our brand-new passenger wagon safari (Landrover) tours across the Harewood Estate.

This is an exciting opportunity to help visitors discover the hidden landscapes, wildlife and history of Harewood.  Travelling on board the passenger wagon, you’ll deliver an engaging scripted tour (all prepared for you), sharing fascinating stories about our historic estate, native wildlife, farm animals and our work in conservation and sustainability.

Whether you are interested in heritage, nature or simply creating memorable experiences for visitors, we’d love to hear from you.

What your’ll be doing

As a Visitor Experience Trailer Tour Guide, you’ll:

  • Delivering engaging, informative tours using a pre-written script whilst travelling on the passenger wagon.
  • Create a warm, welcoming and memorable experience for every visitor.
  • Complete daily opening, closing and vehicle safety checks (there is a list to follow).
  • Carry out pre-tour and post-tour inspections.
  • Monitor visitor safety and report any incidents promptly.
  • Follow operational procedures and maintain high customer service standards.
  • Help ensure tours run safely, smoothly and on time.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent customer service skills – you love speaking to a wide variety of people.
  • A confident, friendly and approachable manner.
  • Strong spoken English and clear communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to solve problems calmly.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A commitment to equality, inclusion and providing an excellent visitor experience.
  • Availability to work Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through the fixed term period.

The tours are running from the 23rd July to the 5th September and there will be 4 tours per day.
