Funded Educational Access Visits
Thanks to funding provided through Harewood Estate’s partnership with Natural England & our Higher Tier Countryside Stewardship agreement, Harewood Estate is able to offer a programme of fully funded educational visits for eligible schools & educational groups.
These visits provide children & young people with meaningful opportunities to explore the natural environment, connect with food, farming and conservation & develop a deeper understanding of how landscapes are managed for people & wildlife.
Available throughout the year, each visit is shaped by the changing seasons & the work taking place across the Estate.
Activities may include habitat exploration, wildlife surveys, conservation tasks, livestock encounters, landscape investigations, pond studies, invasive species management & seasonal nature based experiences.
All visits are designed to support curriculum learning whilst encouraging curiosity, wellbeing & a connection to our wild spaces.
Funding Eligibility
Funded visits are available to eligible schools & educational groups. Priority is given to schools serving communities with higher levels of disadvantage & those with limited access to high quality, natural green spaces.
Please contact the Learning Team on learn@harewood.org to discuss eligibility & availability.
