Across the first May bank holiday weekend we are celebrating all things flowers and plants with tours, trails and activities inspired by the Gardens and Grounds at Harewood.

Harewood in Bloom, in partnership with Leafy Couture, is a vibrant celebration of the 140 acres that make up our historic Gardens and Grounds. Bursting into life with an extraordinary collection of flowers and plants from around the world, it’s a seasonal spectacle designed to inspire and delight.

In May, the landscape reaches a breathtaking crescendo. From the humble hawthorn, or ‘May tree’, to the elegant candle-like blooms of horse chestnut and the striking ‘pocket handkerchief tree’, the Gardens are alive with colour and texture. Beneath the trees, wild garlic and bluebells create a beautiful woodland tapestry, while camassias and alliums bloom across the grounds. Around the Lakeside, rhododendrons come into flower, and in the Walled Garden, the orchard is filled with delicate apple blossom. Discover these highlights on a guided tour or wander at your own pace along winding garden trails.

Enhance your visit with bespoke workshops led by Leafy Couture and talented artists including Nay Bellamy, Davinder Madaher and Lola Design—from floral arranging to botanical painting and paper crafts.

Harewood in Bloom is generously supported by the ASAMAA Charitable Trust.
