Casual Retail Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking to recruit a Retail Assistant to support the day to day running of Harewood’s Retail outlets, maximising return and ensuring excellent customer service is delivered.

Main purpose of the role:

• To provide a warm welcome to all Harewood Visitors in a courteous, prompt and helpful manner. The role is customer focused, so customer service experience and communication skills are essential
• To provide visitors with accurate and comprehensive information to optimise the visitor experience.
• To ensure that shop floors are replenished and looking their best on a daily basis ensuring products are well presented and display materials are utilised.
• Ensure stock rooms are always tidy and organised, storing product and display materials safely. You will be required to support with stock takes and stock rotation.
• To maintain the high standards and cleanliness within working areas. Set up, replenish and clear down the working area.
• You must show the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Develop in-depth product knowledge in order to help customers wherever required.
• Follow the delivery procedure, making a note of any discrepancies.
• Support with the upkeep of the online shop, keeping products relevant and up to date.
• Follow company guidelines on cash handling including till transactions and cashing up
• Drive shop sales, thereby maximising sales potential.
• Build relations with new and existing customers to encourage returning sales
• Deal with all customer enquiries efficiently and stay calm during all customer interactions including challenging situations
• Assist in implementing markdowns and promotions
• Fulfil online shop orders in a timely fashion
• Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Line Manager.

This role may include some heavy lifting of stock and working outside.
