Volunteers bring a wealth of experience and get involved for many different reasons; including a love of heritage and gardens, to gain employability skills, and for social contact. We welcome everyone and hope to be able to support volunteers in their aims as much as they support us in ours.

We’re recruiting for a number of exciting volunteer opportunities including supporting our immersive Christmas exhibition, helping run our much-loved Ferry and assisting in our busy retail spaces.
Attend our Volunteer Open Day on Wednesday 25 September 2024 from 11am to find out more.
During the day, you’ll be able to:
- Chat with our friendly staff and volunteers
- Learn more about our volunteer opportunities
- Take a tour of the House or Gardens
- Spend time on the Ferry, in the Bookshop, or with a Shuttledriver
- Enjoy freshly brewed coffee, and, of course, delectable cake!
