Our Sensory Map is designed to help you feel more comfortable and confident during your visit to Harewood this Christmas. It visually highlights what you can expect around the House, including lighting levels, sounds, busy areas, and possible smells.
In collaboration with Siobhan Murphy
This year, interior designer Siobhan Murphy (TV’s Interior Design Masters and Interior Curve) transforms Harewood with her signature maximalism, bold patterns and joyous colour. A reimagining of Regency splendour for 2025, it’s Christmas with a sense of theatre and wonder. A season to ignite the imagination and delight every generation.
Free Miniature Adventure for Families
As well as exuberant decor, Siobhan is working with nine miniaturist specialists, to recreate a mini version of Christmas at Harewood with pieces featured throughout the House. Among the artists are Michael Robbins, a Yorkshire-based miniaturist whose work has been exhibited internationally and featured on Channel 4’s Great Big Tiny Design Challenge, and Arabella Duffy, a remarkable talent who, at just thirteen years old, is already making waves in the miniature art world.
Each intricately designed piece will be part of a free trail for children to follow, encouraging them to spot and tick off every miniature they discover. This whimsical adventure invites families to slow down, observe the details, and immerse themselves in the magic of Christmas.

Christmas at Harewood for us is a family tradition, magical from the moment you drive up the lit drive to meeting the main man himself. Taking a family photo on the terrace under the Christmas tree is a new family tradition we now look forward to every year."

Wheelchair Access to Christmas at Harewood
The front entrance wheelchair lift is currently out of order, and due for repair in late December. However, for guests who are unable to access the House via the front steps, we have an alternative lift to access the State Floor only.
Please note that this lift is temporary and only suitable to be used by one guest at a time as a guest must be accompanied by a member of Harewood Staff whilst using the lift. This means that the wheelchair user will not be able to be accompanied by a companion whilst using the lift.
This lift is small and is not able to take mobility scooters or mechanised wheelchairs due to its weight limit.
Should you require use of this lift, please make yourself known to the Harewood team on arrival and they will assist you. Alternatively, you can to contact the House Supervisor prior to your arrival on 0113 218 1010.
Please note that phone signal at Harewood can be very poor and the team will endeavour to answer as soon as they are able.
Thank you in advance for your patience whilst we get our normal wheelchair list operating again.
Car Parking at Harewood this Christmas
During our Christmas period, a car parking pass is required in addition to your ticket.
Please note that only one parking pass is needed per vehicle, not per person.
Harewood Members do not need to pre book car parking for Christmas.
