Join Boxtree Productions on the riverbank this summer, as they celebrate their 10 year anniversary with a performance of Kenneth Grahame’s beloved story! Featuring hilarious comedy, magic and fantastic toe-tapping songs be sure of an evening of wonderful open-air theatre that the whole family will enjoy.

When Mole gets fed up of cleaning her home she decides to leave her burrow and head out on adventure! She meets Ratty and Toad and Badger and discovers a love of the river and the joy of the open road. However, that egocentric Toad is convinced to steal a car by those meddling weasels! Toad is arrested and the Weasels takeover Toad Hall to turn it into a theatre for their own amusement! It falls to Mole and Ratty, Badger and Toad to take back Toad Hall! Will they do it?

Bring a chair and a picnic and prepared to be transported to a summer evening on the riverbank. Book now to avoid missing out!

What time can I arrive?

Doors open to theatre ticket holders from 5pm, with the performance commencing from 6pm.

For theatre-goers wishing to visit Harewood prior to 5pm on the day of the performance to enjoy the House and Grounds, we are offering a reduced entry rate of £5 per person. Reduced rate tickets are available to purchase upon arrival at Harewood on the day of the performance with a valid theatre ticket.

Can I bring a Picnic?

You’re welcome to bring along your own picnic and seating. Please note, no tables are permitted and we ask that you kindly take all of your litter away with you.

Will the performance go ahead in the rain?

The performance will go ahead whatever the weather! This is an outdoor event so please come prepared with suitable warm and waterproof clothing or sun cream and hats if required.

Where will the performance take place?

The performance will take place on the North Lawn, the grassed area opposite the House. Car parking and toilet facilities are located close to the performance area.

Can I buy a ticket on the evening?

Subject to availability, tickets may be available to purchase upon arrival to Harewood on the day of the performance. Take advantage of the pre-booking discount and book your tickets in advance.

Will there be an interval?

There will be a short 20 minute interval at 7pm giving you the opportunity to stretch your legs and use the facilities.
