Harewood House Trust is seeking a confident and motivated individual to join our Visitor Information & Sales Team, in this public facing role which will be located in our Membership Hut between Harewood House and the Courtyard.

A key function of the Visitor Information & Sales Assistant role, which reports into our Membership & Sales Manager, is to create a welcoming experience that ensures our visitors have the best day at Harewood and also encourages repeat attendance. After our visitors have passed through the gates at Harewood, you are likely to be the first person they come into contact with, to guide them about any Harewood queries and to ensure our visitors have the best day on site.

You will play a vital role in promoting Harewood House Trust and Harewood Membership, to help build lasting relationships with our visitors and community. The Visitor Information & Sales Assistant role, in addition, undertakes a range of administrative responsibilities, including processing Group and Learning booking.

The role forms part of our front-of-house team where we require consistent professional cover to respond promptly to visitors in person, by telephone, email or social media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all duties related to Visitor Information
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to Members and Harewood visitors, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience.
  • Administration of the CRM system.
  • Managing bookings for Groups and Learning visits.
  • Welcome group visitors upon arrival.
  • Carry out all duties related to Membership administration
  • Support the delivery of Member events when required.

You’ll have:

  • Excellent customer service skills in a public facing environment
  • Be an effective team player, who are work on their own initiative and support others.
  • Ability to work weekends (1 day per weekend), possibly Bank Holidays and Event Days.
  • Experience of working with Customer Relationship Management systems is desirable (but we can teach you).
  • Confident IT skills
