Dr. Rommi Smith, the first Writer-in-Residence for Harewood, premieres a series of poems she has written in response to Austen and Turner: A Country House Encounter exhibition.

Rommi’s imagined archive of epistolary correspondence between Jane Austen and JMW Turner explores the exteriorities and interiorities of landscape. Rommi will perform this new work in its entirety – in collaboration with musician and composer Christella Litras.

A number of the poets from Rommi and Christella’s inspirational workshop series earlier this year, will perform a selection of poems they have also written in response to the exhibition.

Ticket holders are invited to arrive from 3pm to experience the exhibition. Guests are also invited to join Rommi and Christella for refreshments in the Terrace Cafe after the event.
