The Private Apartments on the first floor of Harewood House have hosted artists, presidents, kings and queens for over 250 years, and have been used by the Lascelles family since the 18th century.
You will be guided around rooms that are still in use by the 8th Earl and Countess, filled with objects and artwork that reflect their family’s diverse interests and tastes.
Learn about the Apartments’ adaptations for modern life and use through the years, and how the apartments now contribute to the educational charitable work of Harewood House Trust, which is wholly responsible for the care of the House, Collections and 140 acres of grounds and gardens. The tour will last approximately one hour. Please note that photography will not be permitted.
Please ensure you book a day ticket for Harewood alongside your Private Apartment Tour ticket or have a valid membership card that covers all parties.
