Putting on Christmas at Harewood is a mammoth task, with planning beginning more than a year in advance.

This year, we’ve worked with Studio McGuire to create playful, enchanting installations inspired by Beauty and the Beast, bringing historic objects and festive decorations to life through talking furniture, pillows and presents.

Yorkshire-based writer Christina Lewis has also created a bespoke script, drawing on Harewood’s collections, interiors and residents, with research by Curator and Archivist Rebecca Burton.
