The Role

As a Visitor Experience Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable visit—from first welcome to final farewell.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you will:

  • Supervise daily visitor operations across the House, Reception, and wider estate
  • Lead and motivate a team to deliver exceptional service
  • Support events including concerts, car shows and outdoor activities
  • Oversee car parking, shuttle and ferry operations
  • Act as a key point of contact for visitor queries, feedback and issues

You’ll need to be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, and bring energy and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and maintain exceptional visitor experience standards
  • Lead daily opening and closing procedures
  • Handle visitor enquiries, complaints and feedback professionally
  • Ensure smooth daily operations (ticketing systems, tills, equipment)
  • Support and supervise Visitor Experience team members and volunteers
  • Drive income through admissions, memberships and upselling opportunities
  • Maintain health & safety standards and respond to emergencies
  • Act as a trained First Aider and maintain equipment
  • Support training and induction of team members
