A Country House Encounter

An extraordinary exhibition celebrating the 250th anniversaries of the landscape painter JMW Turner (1775-1851) and novelist Jane Austen (1775-1817). The work of these two legendary artistic figures will be brought together, for the very first time.

A grand estate, Harewood House from the South by JMW Turner (1798), sits atop a hill, overlooking a lush landscape with a winding river. It is surrounded by dense forests and open fields, all under a wide, cloudy sky.
