Planning your learning visit

Changes to your booking can be made up to 14 days before your visit. We cannot make changes on the day and you will be charged the full amount after your visit.

For general admission, we offer a discounted rate for learning groups and this includes access to Harewood House, Gardens and Grounds

£7 per child
£9.50 for adult learners (18+)
Group leaders go free

Prices for facilitated sessions start at £8.50 per student and this includes general admission.

Our minimum requirement for learning groups is 10 students, with the exception of SEND groups.

Self-guided visits: max 5 coaches per day

Facilitated sessions: Capacity depends on the session you would like to book.

We know how tricky transport can be, so we’re happy to be flexible.

We have a varied seasonal programme at Harewood, and opening and closing times change depending on the season. Take a look at our seasonal opening times for more information.

We may need to close specific areas of the site on the day due to adverse weather conditions. Make sure to stay up-to-date by checking today at a glance or asking one of the team.

Due to the historic nature of Harewood House, Gardens and Grounds, some areas of the site have limited accessibility. Take a look through our accessibility guides.

We strongly encourage educators to stop by before their arranged visit to carry out their own risk assessment. You are more than welcome to bring along a colleague, or visit at the weekend.

Self-guided groups are required to keep their lunch, bags and coats on their persons. For a small fee a lunch/storage space can be booked in advance, but this depends on availability.

Self-guided groups are welcome to enjoy packed lunches on our picnic tables or on the grass on a sunny day.

Groups who have booked a facilitated session have an indoor lunch space and storage area included in their booking, unless communicated otherwise.

In the case of adverse weather conditions, a member of the Learning Team will be in touch to advise an alternative plan and possible site closures.

Please note, with the exception of cases when there is a risk to health and safety, the team aims to deliver all outdoor sessions – rain or shine! The Learning Team asks educators to advise students on appropriate outdoor wear for their visit and recommend comfortable shoes and waterproof clothing.

We ask that educators try to arrive in time for the first activity, but understand that sometimes isn’t possible.

All education groups will be invoiced after their visit. If you would prefer to pay in advance, payment can be made over the phone at 0113 218 1000.
