Wool Weaving: Flowers

Join our Engagement Team and make your very own colour wool woven flowers. Inspired by the natural world around us, learn how to craft beautiful, colour flowers using just coloured wool and card.
Cecilia Charlton: Family Embroidery Workshop
Sunday 18 Aug | 2–4pm | Suitable for age 9+ | Courtyard Overflow Café
Join textile artist Cecilia Charlton for a family workshop focussing on Bargello Embroidery. In this family-friendly workshop, participants of all ages will be able to engage with the materials and processes of bargello embroidery. Feel free to try the bargello technique, or explore embroidery in your own style!
No prior embroidery experience is necessary to participate in this drop-in workshop.
Cecilia Charlton: Bargello Embroidery Workshop

Ticket Price: £40 per person
Join artist Cecilia Charlton discover the craft of Bargello Embroidery.
In this workshop, you will learn the three fundamental principles of bargello — colour, stitch length, and stitch groupings — that work together to create dynamic imagery. Each participant will be guided through a sample piece of embroidery, and then supported by Cecilia to create their own bargello design. You will leave the workshop with all the necessary materials to finish your bargello embroidery project at home.

Art Club: Sculpture Workshop

Ticket Price: £7 per child*
We are running a Make It Harewood Art Club special this August! Experiment with the art of sculpture by crafting your very own masterpiece using polystyrene shapes and recycled materials. Under the guidance of an experienced art teacher, construct your shape and then decorate it with a pop of colour.

Create/Elevate: Objects in Focus

Join our knowledgeable House Team for a free talk about Create/Elevate, the 2024 Harewood Biennial exhibition. Our free talks will focus on different objects and artworks which feature in the exhibition, across the State Floor and Below Stairs of the House.
