This Christmas, step into a magical festive world where history and imagination meet, in the long-awaited sequel to 2019’s award-winning ‘Night at the Mansion’.
A troop of not-so-angelic cherubs have escaped from the Christmas tree and Harewood House sparkles into life with singing baubles, swirling ceilings and gossiping statues. Marvel as the House tells you festive tales of bygone times, in an unforgettable experience that will delight visitors of all ages.
Mischief at the Mansion is brought to Harewood by Studio McGuire. Davy and Kristin McGuire are multi-award winning, Yorkshire-based, mixed reality artists, internationally renowned for their innovative explorations in immersive art, storytelling and digital projections. Their 2019 show ‘Night at the Mansion’ won widespread acclaim including Innovation of the Year at the Museum and Heritage Awards, and Harewood’s Members will be delighted to know that the talking plates are back!

“What an afternoon! From cheeky interactive fairy’s dotted around to find, talking plates/cakes and baubles – even talking statue heads! Topped off with a boat ride over the lake to have marshmallows by the sunset, sat in the twinkly gardens. A gorgeous, moonlit walk back, with the lights glistening on the water was so magical! I’m coming back weekly fyi, as it’s our fave place all year round, but Christmas is just something ELSE!” Laura, Visitor
