Self-Drive Group Visits

With social distancing measures still in place, we appreciate that travelling and visiting all together might not be an option for some groups at the moment. That is why in addition to welcoming coach visits, we’ve come up with a new way that groups can come and enjoy Harewood, without having to travel together, through self-drive group visits.

How can I book a self drive visit for my group ?

Self drive visits are available to groups of 15 or more must be pre-booked in advance by contacting groups@harewood.org or 0113 218 1017. 

Once booked, we will send you a unique booking link that you can share with members of your group to enable you to book your visit individually whilst benefiting from the group rate.

I'd like to book a guided tour as part of my booking, can I do this ?

Yes, you can certainly add a guided tour as part of your self drive visit. We can provide a variety of tours and experiences across the house and gardens. From introductory house tours to guided visits around the Bird Garden,  we have something for everyone.

Add a House Tour to your booking, where your expert guide will take you through key moments in the history of the house and our collections. Guided tours are available to commence at 10:15am or 3:30pm during the main season, outside of the general House opening hours, giving your group exclusive access.

Interested in the Gardens ? Then why not book a Garden Tour for your group. Enjoy an overview of Harewood’s gardening history and current planting schemes with an informative tour from our expert gardeners.

Or for a truly unique experience, book a guided tour of our award winning Bird Garden, home to over forty species of birds from around the world such as our critically endangered Bali Starling and our ever popular colony of Humboldt penguins. Learn more about their characteristics, how our team care for them and what makes them unique.

Tours are an additional £5 per person.

We are holders of the ‘We’re Good to Go’ Visit England industry standard, awarded to organisations that have followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, have necessary risk assessments in place, and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
