Planning your visit

We have a full range of interactive trails available to download and bring with you on your trip to Harewood. Use these as part of your planning or print off and bring with you on the day.

Once you have booked your self-guided visit, we can provide you with two complimentary teacher tickets to visit Harewood to support your planning and risk assessment.

The Chain Ferry

Our chain ferry can take small groups (up to 12 people) on the short journey across the Lake from the Bird Garden to the Walled Garden, all for free.

You can take the chain ferry to see our wonderful walled garden, before walking back on the lakeside walk. It’s a lovely way to see Harewood from a different perspective as well as to enjoy the bird life and views. Journey time is approximately 6 minutes across the lake.

Did you know that you can pre-book ice lollies for your class? We offer a discounted rate for educational groups:

Rocket lollies: £1.50

Push-ups: £2.00

All lollies must be pre-booked a minimum of 7 days in advance of your visit to qualify for the reduced rate.
