Working with professional artist Beatrice Knowles pupils will investigate the Biennial craft exhibition alongside the permanent Harewood collection exploring surface pattern through textiles, furniture, craft and nature.
By sketching, looking and group conversation pupils will gather and share different ideas and develop them using collage. Pupils can cut out shapes to create a surface pattern on paper, based on a theme or message in response to what they have seen.
This is a hands-on practical session for pupils to be inspired, learn new skills and enjoy a process of making which can be developed back in school.
All materials are included but feel free to bring your own sketchbook.
Our indoor Curiosity Cabin, Education Suite and outdoor sheltered picnic area are available for lunch/break sessions which are situated next to toilet facilities and our Adventure Play Area. Our site is accessible.
Timings for all sessions are flexible and can be tailored to suit KS1, lower primary or upper primary aged pupils.
Price
