Spiral Meadow 1999-2009

This enormous spiral was cut into the turf and sown by hand with 31 varieties of traditional meadow grasses and flowers – the planted area being close to 1,500 square yards. Visitors were invited to walk into the spiral along a turf pathway: approximately 600 yards to the centre and the same again out, a walk of nearly two thirds of a mile.
