Join us for a two-part workshop inspired by the breathtaking work of J. M. W. Turner, designed to help young people develop a strong portfolio of art techniques in preparation for their GCSEs.
Led by an experienced art teacher, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore the techniques of one of Britain’s greatest landscape artists while honing your own creative skills.
Session 1: Sunday 29 June
Step into the world of Turner with an inspiring visit to Austen and Turner: A Country House Encounter exhibition.
Young artists will sketch and photograph the landscape, experimenting with Turner’s techniques to capture mood, light, and texture.
Session 2: Sunday 6 June
Using the insights from Session 1, participants will create their own Turner-inspired masterpiece, building confidence and creativity in their artistic journey.
This workshop is a fantastic opportunity to grow as an artist while building a portfolio that stands out.

This is a two part workshop.
Each day will begin at 10.30am and all children will need to be picked up by 1pm.
Children to bring their own snacks and water.
