Thursday 5 – Saturday 7 December 2024
10.30am – 1.30pm
Come and join us for a seasonal creative making session inspired by forest walks, winter’s fragrant scents, and warm Christmas festivities. With bases of fresh juniper, conifer and pine, create aromatic wreaths to brighten your doorways and appreciate throughout the festive season and beyond.
Led by floral designer Zosia, the workshop is divided into two parts; weaving and adding.
The first part will focus on how to work natural materials like birch, ivy and willow. And weave them into base rings. Whilst the second part will give you plenty of freedom and time to explore and add fresh and dried materials.
You don’t need to bring anything with you, as everything needed for the session will be provided.
Weather depending, the workshop might be held partially outside so it is recommended that you bring warm clothes.
Zosia is a botanical and floral designer/artist. Taking inspiration from the biophilia hypothesis* and the therapeutic benefits of being surrounded by natural elements, Zosia is fascinated with how people interact with and use space. She has created natural, living, and dried installations, and curated environments with people and plants in mind. Zosia works seasonally and takes inspiration for her floral designs directly from how they grow together in their natural environment. Her floral workshops are designed to give participants a balance between gaining practical botanical knowledge and creative play.
A 14 day cancellation policy applies to all workshops. As commercial workshops support our charitable activities, and materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than two weeks before the workshop date should you wish to cancel your place.
Should Harewood House Trust need to cancel a workshop, your ticket will be refunded in full.
