We appreciate that outdoor spaces like the grounds at Harewood are important for people’s wellbeing, providing an open space for our local community and members to enjoy.
The safety of our staff, volunteers, Members and visitors from the nearby community remains our top priority and we urge you to book your visits in advance, stay local and adhere to the government guidance at all times.

Harewood’s Gardens, Grounds and Adventure Playground are now open 7 days a week. The Kiosk and Bothy Teahouse will be serving hot drinks and snacks on a takeaway basis and Click and Collect is available for purchases made through our online gift shop.
Government Roadmap
In line with the government roadmap, from 8 March, people will be allowed to leave home for recreation and exercise outdoors at Harewood with their household or support bubble, or with one person from outside their household.
+ 29 March Courtyard Café reopens for take away only.
+ 12 April at the earliest the Courtyard area, Shop and Bird Garden & Farm Experience to reopen.
+ 17 May at the earliest, the House, Terrace Café and House Shop will reopen, alongside indoor exhibitions and indoor café spaces.
In line with the government’s legislation, the below areas currently remain closed:
• The House
• Bird Garden and Farm Experience
• Courtyard Café and Terrace Tearoom
• Courtyard Shop for browsing and on-site purchase
• Courtyard Area, including the Visitor Information Point
