The Grand Départ is a once in a lifetime event. Just like the 2012 Olympics, the atmosphere is going to be electric! The Festival of Cycling has been designed to harness that excitement and make the most of the celebrations.

From the Festival you can be part of the Official Ceremonial Start of the 2014 Tour de France, watch the tour stages in full on big screens with thousands of fellow fans and enjoy the full Festival vibe. Tickets can be booked through the Festival of Cycling website or by calling 0113 218 1010.

Campsites, both standard and pre-pitched, are available throughout the weekend. All campsite festival packages include a parking space, 3 nights’ camping from Friday to Sunday, and weekend Tickets. Prices start from £14 per night for groups of 8 people. Please see the Festival of Cycling site for more information about camping tickets and purchasing options.

Please note: camping has now sold out. No more pitches are available.

Day Tickets

Individual and group tickets are available for both single-day or weekend access to the Festival (this does not include parking or camping), and children under 12 are welcome free of charge! Day tickets are charged at £18 for one day access. To learn more and purchase tickets, please visit the Festival of Cycling website or call 0113 218 1010.

Parking is included in many ticket options, however you can also purchase parking separately if required. The charge will be £10 per day. You’ll likely want to purchase parking if you’re a camper with an extra vehicle, a day ticket festival-goer that is driving to and from Harewood, or just a cycling fan that wants to leave their car somewhere secure before heading up in to the Dales. Visit the Festival of Cycling site for more information about parking.

If you want to enjoy the Official Ceremonial Start in style, there are a range of hospitality packages on offer. Packages include breakfast, a “Chef’s Table” lunch, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks plus full access to the VIP lawn.

To book individual, group, or corporate Hospitality, please visit the Festival of Cycling site for more information.

"Led Rides" to watch more of Le Tour de France live

Of course, watching the Tour as it passes through the grounds of Harewood House will be a truly special experience, but it doesn’t have to end there! Human Race have been liaising closely with the Yorkshire Police and Traffic Management teams to avoid the hefty stretches of road closures, to get to great spots to catch another view of the race.

On arrival at our viewing points on the Tour route you can relax at our roadside hubs, or leave your bike in our secure site whilst you get into position to watch the riders go past.  but there are still places on 28 and 36 mile rides on Sunday 6th July. With groups split into Gentle, Medium and Fast there will be something for cyclists of all abilities!

Book online via the website.

Running & Cycling Events

Get stuck in and take part in a running or cycling event during the weekend. There are opportunities for participants at all levels of ability to join in and have some fun! Events for festival-goers include off-road trail runs, family fun rides, kids scootathons, time trials and more.

You can even test yourself against Olympic gold and bronze medal winners, Jonathan and Alistair Brownlee, in a time trial across the Estate. The boys have set a time which you can try and beat! Check out this video to see how the boys did.

Tickets for participation events must be booked separately from your Festival tickets. Learn more about these events and book on the Festival of Cycling site
