Saturday 30 June – Sunday 2 September 2018
10am – 5pm
Enjoy a summer of fun in the Walled Garden with our range of lawn games. Play a game of giant chess on the Bothy lawn, or try your hand at quoits, a traditional game played in England many hundreds of years. Our lawn games are free to use all day long, just make your way down to the Walled Garden.
Seeds of Hope is our brand new immersive exhibition based in the Walled Garden and Bothy, created in collaboration with Lord Whitney, a creative studio based in Leeds.
Explore life at Harewood in 1918 through the eyes of the gardeners who lived and worked in The Bothy and the Walled Garden, and step back in time to a war time garden complete with heritage fruit, vegetables and flowers as well as heritage goats and chickens. The exhibition will commemorate the experiences of those who worked on the estate 100 years ago, exploring themes of self-sufficiency, resilience, healing and hope.
