2pm – 3.30pm
This autumn, as part of our week-long visit from eight Tibetan monks from Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in China, we are holding a series of performances and workshops at Harewood.
Join us for a hands-on workshop giving you an opportunity to try for yourself some of the traditions and practices of the Tibetan Monastic culture. The workshop will cover the following:
Founded by the first Dalai Lama in the 15th Century, and the seat of the Panchen Lamas, Tashi Lhunpo is one of the most important monasteries in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Re-established in exile in South India, it is once again becoming one of the major centres of Buddhist learning, best known for its artistic tradition of masked dances and sacred music.
Bookings can be made online, or alternatively please contact our Visitor Experience Team on 0113 218 1000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Entrance to Harewood is included within the ticket price for this workshop.
If you are a member and would like to book your space for this performance, please email email@example.com, with your name, contact details and membership number.
On arrival at Harewood, please park in the main car park, and make your way to the Entrance of the Courtyard for 1.50pm, ready for the start of the performance.
