Build a three legged stool using solid oak hardwood. Learn about traditional methods of joinery (wedged mortise and tenons) and gain an understanding of how the natural grain structures are used to create a strong joint and a piece of furniture that will last a lifetime. Students will work with professional quality hand tools and learn about the techniques necessary to shape the wood by hand, adding individual elements to your work to take something truly unique home.
Suitable for Age 18+
(16 & 17 year olds can take part but need to book alongside an accompanying adult who they would share a bench with to build their stools)

Following the success of our last summer craft festival, Make It Harewood is returning for 2022!
With a weekend packed full of workshops and demonstrations, visitors will have the opportunity to get hands on and learn from some of the leading talents in their respective crafts fields. As well as a range of intimate workshops for smaller groups, we will have drop-in sessions and beginners activities for all the family, so there will be plenty to keep you busy all weekend long.
