Thursday 16 September 2021
6pm – 8pm

Join our Head Gardener, Trevor Nicholson, for an exclusive evening tour of the Terrace Garden at Harewood. Trevor will talk about the history of the Terrace, from its creation in the 19th century, including influences which brought about the advent of the Italianate parterre, to the changes in gardening styles and planting designs throughout the high Victorian era. We will stroll along the flower borders and discover some of the exotic plants in the Archery Border, as well as discuss the challenges of plant cultivation and the rise in concerns over biodiversity conservation and sustainable horticulture and how the gardeners at Harewood are adapting to new ways of thinking and caring about the environment.

Followed by a glass of Prosecco on the Terrace
