A Storm at Harewood with Heritage Corner
Saturday 12 June – Saturday 18 September 2021
2.15pm – 4pm
Mr and Mrs Pablo present A Storm at Harewood
No circus tent! No sugar coating! Walk with us through inspiring African history and hidden connections to the splendours of Harewood. You’ll be blown away, just like our tent was!
This summer we are delighted to welcome Heritage Corner to Harewood for a series of walks around the House and Grounds.
In 1847, during a performance at Harewood, a storm interrupts Pablo Fanque’s Circus Royal. Join Britain’s favourite circus owner of African heritage and wife, Mrs Pablo, on this 90-minute guided walk. Hear their amazing story as Heritage Corner transport you from the grounds to the house, revealing hidden narratives of African and West Indian connections to Harewood’s history.
EXTRA DATES ADDED:
Where does the walk start?
All visitors booked on the walk will need to make their way to the Curiosity Cabin at the top of the car park for 2.15pm, where a member of the team will be there to greet you.
What should I wear?
The walk will begin outdoors, so we ask that you please wear suitable footwear and clothing. We will be walking rain or shine, so please come prepared!
How long does the walk last?
The walk will last around 1 and a half – 2 hours, depending on how inquisitive and talkative the audience are feeling!
What’s included with my ticket?
Your ticket to A Storm at Harewood gives full access to Harewood House and Grounds. If you would like to visit the House, please be aware that the opening times are 11am to 4pm, so you will need to make sure you have visited before the start of the walk. You will visit the House as part of the walk.
