Thursday 27 April – Friday 12 May 2023
10.15am – 5pm
Join Harewood’s expert Tour Guides and Collections Team for a special tour of all things ‘royal’ at Harewood.
From porcelain created for an ill-fated French king to a birthday book belonging to an English queen, this session will offer an opportunity to get up-close to some of Harewood’s best-loved, as well as lesser known, royal treasures.
Learn about some of Harewood’s historic state visits, including those from recent generations of the royal family, and find out about Harewood’s connections to Queen Victoria through a number of rarely seen objects and archives.
The tour will incorporate the story of Harewood as a Royal Household, being the home of HRH Princess Mary, from 1930 until her death in 1965. It will also provide a special focus on the Lascelles family’s historic relationship with coronations throughout the past century in our new display, ‘Crowning Glory’, in celebration of the coronation of King Charles III.
Use your ticket at the Terrace Tearoom to redeem your Cream Tea on the day of your visit.
