This session is primarily for, but not limited to, families with autistic children; autistic young people and adults; adults living with dementia; adults and children with mental health problems; and any other visitors with sensory needs or who may prefer a more relaxed experience, plus their families, friends and carers.
Our friendly staff will be on hand to help with any access requirements and any other support you may require during your visit.
To ensure the experience is as welcoming as possible, during these slots:
+ Lights in otherwise dimly lit rooms will be switched on
+ Sound installations, videos and noisy displays will be turned off
+ Moving mechanical displays will be stopped
+ Access backpacks will be available from the Main Entrance, containing sensory items to help to assist visitors who may be overwhelmed due to the new environment
+ A quiet space will be available for visitors to use in the House

Relaxed Mornings in the House will be on selected Wednesdays throughout Harewood’s festive season:

Once you have visited the House, you are welcome to explore Harewood’s Gardens, Grounds and Bird Garden at your leisure.
Harewood has joined the Sunflower Lanyard scheme for people with hidden disabilities. Not all disabilities are visible –If you have a hidden disability and feel that you would benefit from wearing a Hidden Disabilities Sunflower product while on-site, please pick one up from Visitor Information or Visitor Reception.
You will need to book a timed ticket slot for Long Live the Christmas Tree! Upon booking your tickets, you will be required to select a time slot for entry into the House. Day tickets for Members and non-Member will need to be booked online.
Your entry time slot for Long Live the Christmas Tree! begins at the time shown on your ticket and you have half an hour from that time to enter the House – please begin your visit to the House via the Main Entrance. Once you are in the House, you are free to explore Long Live the Christmas Tree! at your convenience.
You are free to arrive on site anytime from when the Park opens at 10am.
