Join us for a unique opportunity to learn about costumes, debate and prayer from the Tibetan monks of Tashi Lhunpo Monastery.
Eight Tibetan monks will introduce you to the fascinating details of the colourful costumes worn in the dances of the Gutor Festival at Tibetan New Year, while inviting you to learn a few of the steps.
This workshop will include a demonstration and explanation of Taksel, the art of dialectical debate, there will be also be an opportunity to learn some of the intricate mudras (hand gestures), Tantric prayer offers an insight into life in a Buddhist monastery.
Located within the Harewood Suite, this workshop is free of charge but due to limited spaces, pre-booking is required.
