Guided walk to the Harewood Stupa and through the Himalayan Gardens
This mindful walk will take you through the Himalayan Garden where you can see blue poppies, orchids, cobra lilies, primulas and over 50 types of rhododendrons. The gardens are a beautiful place to pause and breathe with the sound of the waterfall helping to relax and calm minds.
The Himalayan Stupa was built by monks from Bhutan in 2004 and is the only one of its kind in the UK. Here you will have the opportunity to leave an offering of something you have found along the walk such as a fallen leaf or a flower. This Buddhist tradition helps us to reflect on life’s impermanence and helps to calm the mind.
Warming Refreshments
Enjoy a warming herbal tea and a healthy energy snack from Harewood Food and Drink Project.
Restorative Yoga Nidra
Join Amanda Winburn for a deeply relaxing session of restorative yoga Nidra, with soft sounds of crystal singing bowls and healing energy work. The poses are supported by the use of bolsters to cradle your body into a state of deep relaxation. Yoga Nidra has many benefits such as reducing stress, easing anxiety and cultivating inner calm.
You will need to make your way to the Arch Barn Studio for the start of this session, which is located on the Harewood Estate. Full directions to the Arch Barn will be sent prior to the event. Be aware that you will need to enter the Estate via Weardley Lane (via A659), do not use the main entrance to Harewood.
