11am – 1pm
Join us for a session of meditation in the beauty of the Himalayan Garden at Harewood. In the eastern yoga and meditation traditions it has always been known that meditating in nature can radically transform our state of mind as well as bringing enjoyment and presence. When we spend time consciously connecting with the natural elements around us, such as water, earth or wood, or connect with the sun or the sky above us, we experience positive states of mind and wellbeing. For example, meditating on or by water brings us clarity and tranquillity. Meditating on the earth’s abundance can bring us contentment and ease. The lake, woods and flowers of the Himalayan garden provide the perfect tranquil setting to practice in, as we explore and meditate by its natural features, and discover these benefits for ourselves.
The session will be guided by Zeenat Cameron. All are welcome, whether beginners or experienced meditators.
