1pm – 3pm
Join illustrator and author of the best-selling Fantasically Great Women series, Kate Pankhurst for this two hour illustration workshop.
What better place to draw some of the incredible women from the past, than the historic setting of Harewood House?
Join Kate as she explores how to bring the past to life with the time travelling power of a pencil. We’ll be sketching suffragettes in the Votes for Women newspaper, designing Mexican inspired self-portraits in the style of Frida Kahlo and TOP SECRET… creating case files to document the work of World War Two undercover agent, Noor Khan.
Expect drawing games, doodle delights and lots of inspiration to change the world with your drawing skills.
Suitable for ages 7-11.
Please note: tickets for this workshop include entry to Harewood for the workshop participant. However, accompanying adults must have valid entry ticket or membership to Harewood. Children must be accompanied throughout the workshop.
Kate Pankhurst is the bestselling author and illustrator of the internationally popular Fantasically Great Women books. Shortlisted for awards like the NIBBIES for Children’s Illustrated and Non-fiction books, and translated into 22 languages.
