Thursday 28 October 2021
11am – 1pm

Join us for a stroll around the lakeside woodlands to the Walled Garden. Here you will be given a tour of the kitchen garden, where our Head Gardener, Trevor Nicholson, will talk about the ‘soil food web’ and explain how we grow our vegetable crops using reduced tillage or ‘no dig’ methods.

Our compost-making system is key to this, and we will share with you our composting practices, as well as cover the main principles, so that you can make your own compost at home. Followed by Soup and a Sandwich in the Courtyard Café
