Harewood’s gardens are the source of many delicious ingredients for the food in our cafes, and this year we’re celebrating its bounty and the seasonal harvest.

Join us in the Courtyard to enjoy food, drink, music and demonstrations from local favourites. It’s the perfect way to welcome in the new season, that all the family can enjoy!

Talks + Demos

Tent outside the Courtyard

Throughout the weekend, there’ll be the opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade through talks and demonstrations from the professionals – including Great British Bake Off’s Sandy Docherty and Harewood Food and Drink Project’s Connor Corrigan.

Street food

Outside the Courtyard | 10am-5pm

It’s simply not a Harvest Festival Weekend without food and drink aplenty, and outside the Courtyard we’re pleased to be hosting local street food favourites Luigi’s Street Food and Alley Cats.

The team at Harewood Food and Drink Project will also be dishing out tacos all weekend.

Perch up on the picnic benches and deckchairs dotted around, and sample all the tasty wares!

Autumnal Workshops

Autumnal Watercolour Workshop with Kate Hall
Sat 16 Sep | 10am-1.30pm

In this beginners’ workshop, you’ll explore watercolour techniques to paint classic symbols of autumn, including leaves and toadstools.

Tickets must be pre-booked, and are discounted for Members.

Chunky Knitted Pumpkin Workshop
Sun 17 Sep | 11am + 1.30pm

Welcome in Autumn with Snuggle & Squish at for a super satisfying finger knitting workshop, and take home a stunning chunky knit pumpkin. Suitable for total beginners and group bookings – no knitting or crafting experience is required.

Market stalls

Courtyard | 10am-5pm

Harvest Festival is all about celebrating local produce, and this weekend the Courtyard will be full of it – from mushrooms to coffee, alcohol to fresh breads. Head down to explore the selection of food stalls from Yorkshire’s finest food providers, and buy yourself some tasty treats to take home.

Yorkshire Mushroom Emporium 

Yorkshire Mushroom Emporium are an independent mushroom producer based in Leeds, providing fresh, delicious, and sustainably produced mushrooms and mushroom growing kits.

Forest Espresso 

Yorkshire speciality coffee roasters Forest Espresso will be selling their quality coffee beans, and chatting to customers all about their delicious blends.

Sawley Kitchen 

Award winning family run Yorkshire bakery, Sawley Kitchen will be serving up hand crafted delights all weekend long.

Harrogate Tipple 

Local favourites Harrogate Tipple Distillery are a family-run, small batch distillery, selling premium gins. They’re on sale in our Courtyard shop, too!

Activities

Running throughout the Harvest Festival weekend we have a free trails and Autumnal activities to try your hand at, including crafts to take home.

Harvest Trail
Lakeside + Walled Garden | Free

Pick up a free trail from the Information Centre at the start of your visit, and use it to keep little ones busy around the Lakeside Walk to the Walled Garden. Return it at the end of your visit, and claim your free sticker!

Seed Bursts Activity
Overflow Café | 11am–3pm | Free

Make your own seed bursts in our free, drop-in children’s activity.

Music

DJ
Courtyard | 11am-3pm

Expect Autumnal ambience all weekend long as our DJ fills the Courtyard with music.
