Monday 28 October – Friday 1 November 2019
10am – 4pm

We’ve got a fantastic week of activities lined up for our first kids’ holiday club this autumn!

For 7- to 12-year-olds

We’ll be doing lots of outdoor activities, games and arts and crafts inspired by all things Harewood – from making minibeast hotels, building our own pin-hole cameras, den-building, spooky Halloween trails in the House and creating our own bird sculptures!

Each day will include outdoor and indoor activities, as well as fun games led by our friendly learning team. We’ll be out and about across the site, whether visiting the penguins, doing a spot of gardening or exploring the nooks and crannies ‘below stairs’ in Harewood House. There is a maximum of 15 children on each day and children can come on single days or for the full week, unaccompanied by their grown-ups!

Here is a glimpse of our weeks’ schedule

Monday 28 October
Minibeast Mayhem!
Activities: a minibeast hunt and making a bug hotel outdoors, followed by giant minibeast sculpture-making.

Tuesday 29 October
Digging in and Dining Well!
Activities: Visit to the Walled Garden and having a go at gardening. Designing and making all things we need for a grand dinner party at Harewood House.

Wednesday 30 October
The Great Outdoors
Activities: Making a pin-hole camera and creating ‘sun photographs’ outdoors, creating 3D maps and den-building.

Thursday 31 October
Jeepers, Creepers!
Activities: All things Halloween – from a spooky trail in Harewood House, Halloween crafts and lantern making.

Friday 1 November
Flights of Fancy!
Activities: Visit to the bird garden and ‘behind the scenes’ with our bird keeper. We’ll be making (and flying!) kites or model birds in the afternoon to take home.

Practicalities & Child Ages

Children do not need to be accompanied by an adult. All our staff are DBS checked and we have a full risk assessment for the week’s activities. A registration form will need to be completed for each child once you have booked and paid for your place. Children cannot participate without a registration form.

Our holiday clubs are for 7- to 12-year-olds. The club is for children only so you will need to drop your child off in the morning and collect at the end of the day.

Adults will need to pay admission if they are staying on site during the day. Admission for children is included in the daily holiday club fee.
